Our Story, Vision and Values
From the very beginning, our vision was clear: to create a truly traditional pub, one that honours the building's long history. That meant keeping the modern world at bay, unless absolutely necessary. You won't find televisions, fruit machines or karaoke nights here. nstead, the space is left to .for itself, inviting people to step back into a simpler, more genuine kind of pub experience.
Our philosophy extends to the items we serve. We chose to turn away from the commercial mainstream: no lager, no keg, no flovoured beer, no spirits, no shots.
Instead we focus on local, smaller brands wherever possible, with a particular pride in real cask ales from independent breweries, and locally produced cider and perry.
